Aluminium Colin Archer 23

This striking aluminium custom built centerboard superyacht (with an overall length of 23.00 m, a length over deck of 19.80 m and a waterline length of 18.00 m) was built by Habbeké to a design of Dijkstra, John Jansen and Wim Stolk. A unique yacht, a veritable work of art, this is the best way to describe this unique sailing yacht. An interior, designed by the celebrated British designer John Munford. (Design for J-Class Endeavour, Shamrock and Velsheda). Extremely spacious accommodations for 9 guests in a master suite and two twin guest cabins. Rigging by Rondal (Royal Huisman), all sails handled by hydraulic operated furlers and winches so she is easily handled by one or two people at all times despite its size and even in the most extreme weather conditions. Her retractable centerboard (1.80 draft when centerboard up, 3.30 when centerboard is down) allows for shallow draft destinations. All materials which have been used are oversized, thickness of material, power of a unit or number of backups, everything has been multiplied with the factor 1.3. This yacht is of exceptional quality throughout and is presented in excellent condition.     Built of high grade aluminium (Hull thickness between ± 8 mm and 26,8. Her full bilged hull with centerboard keel and skeg hung rudder is seem- welded below the waterline. Above the waterline, a clinker welded hull construction has been adopted. The precise shape of the hull has been reached after extensive tank testing at the famous Marin facilities in Delft with the end result of a well-balanced and easily driven vessel with excellent performance under any circumstances. All materials which have been used are oversized. The thickness of the material, power of a unit or the number of backups requested, everything has been multiplied by the factor 1.3 which have resulted in a yacht that will last forever.

    Designed for longer stays onboard and extensive cruising, a home away from home. The decksaloon / wheelhouse has a large navigation station on starboard and a L-shaped settee on port. Down the main companionway, we have the full beam main saloon and the galley on starboard side. The galley is on eye level with those who seated at one of the two tables. Further forward the main settee with traditional fireplace with heater and on the opposite of the main settee a smaller dinette. Up forward there are two identical guest cabins which are set up with ensuite head/shower. The master cabin is aft underneath the wheelhouse with king size bed and couch. Just between the engine room and ownerscabin, there is a full size bathroom with shower. Engine room situated in the aft. Each cabin has separate heating and air- conditioning controls. Beautiful teak finish, every corner has been used for storage space. Extremely light pilothouse due to the large windows. Most windows can be opened and consist of double glazing. Front windows heated and hardened double glass.
